At first I viewed this as a glimmer of hope, only to have it dashed. Seduced in the Dark begins with Livvie in the psych ward telling her story to the FBI, telling them that Caleb is dead. He then has Livvie treated for her wounds, and makes plans to meet up with the man who trained him, Rafiq. When she escapes, she is beaten and almost raped by a group of bikers, who Caleb tracks down and kills, except for two, who he holds hostage. In the first book, Captive in the Dark, Livvie is kidnapped by Caleb and taken to a house in Mexico, where he proceeds to sexually assault her, beat her, and train her to be a sex slave so he can use her to enact revenge on an old enemy. The In the Dark Duet is a short series of erotic novels that follow the romance of Caleb and Livvie.
